Model Y Wheel Covers - 19"

When Vion sent the introductory email when these were released, I knew I wanted them on my Model Y.

Well, sometime in the middle of the night last night a large gentleman dressed in red parked a sleigh on my roof, dragged these down my chimney, and left them sitting under a tree in our living room. He also left some instructions so I could install them myself.

Installation was super easy, the hardest part was the minute or two per wheel it took to put the foam anti-friction tape on. No tools other than my hands were needed. I should have worn disposable gloves to remove the old ones as there was a lot of road grime behind there. Oh well.

The old covers came off easily and these snapped into place solidly and simply. Another reviewer mentioned the Vion's plastic mounting vs. the original cover's metal clips. But these mount in a different spot on the rims and I think it might be a slightly superior mounting system.

Lastly another reviewer mentioned it would be cool if there were left and right versions available and I think that would be fantastic.

I used these to replace the factory-supplied wheel covers to just be a bit different. This design looks more like the wheels supplied with the performance model. Easy to replace without specialized tools.

Big improvement in appearance with the wheel covers. Also like the sun shade. Fits very well.

I’ve got to admit that I like the looks of these Vion Model Y 19” Wheel Covers. I was a bit surprised they were 100 plastic, having no metal hardware like the original Tesla covers, but they seem to fit okay. I haven’t rubbed up against a curb yet, so I can’t say how well they’ll stay on with unintentional abuse, but they seem very secure. It wasn’t until I received them that I realized there really ought to be left and right versions to be aerodynamically correct, but I doubt it makes much difference. Bottom line is the look good, fit well and came at a reasonable price.
